YORKSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY | ANNE AND MATTHEW: MARRIED

Monday, October 19th, 2009

Anne and Matthew chose one of the windiest days I can remember to get married, but the wedding went smoothly despite it, and Anne’s veil managed to stay in remarkably well!! Anne got ready in the gorgeous penthouse suite at The White Bear in Masham, and after a church wedding Anne and Matthew returned for their reception.

Anne’s gorgeous dress was from Paradise Grove:

Kylie took this lovely shot of Anne:

We did most of the couple shots inside due to the wind, but then we just had to go outside for a dramatic windy veil shot. This one is Kylie’s and I love it, it’s shows what great fun Anne and Matthew are and her hair shows how windy it was!

To see more of their wedding, there is a slideshow and an online gallery. Their password is their new surname, all in lowercase letters.

Anne and Matthew, I hope you had an amazing honeymoon! Your wedding was a pleasure to photograph x

THE STAR AT HAROME WEDDING FEATURE | REBECCA AND EDWARD

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

I was thrilled when Rebecca and Edward’s beautiful wedding at The Star Inn Harome was chosen to be a featured wedding in the Wedding and Lifestyle show guide. Rebecca and Edward had gorgeous weather for their wedding last September, and both of them looked stunning!

Rebecca’s dress was from Angel Brides and her flowers were by The Flower Box in Helmsley.

If you’re getting married at The Star of Harome visit my Yorkshire Wedding Photography website for more information!

PHOTOGRAPHERS MEET UP IN BLACKPOOL

Friday, October 9th, 2009

Last week, a group of photographers who met through the [b] school and the Randall Photography Network, went to Blackpool for a work outing (as we all work for ourselves we don’t usually get work days out)! We stayed the night so we could enjoy the Blackpool hospitality to the full ;-)

The agenda was loosely adhered to as we all excitedly discussed albums, marketing, websites etc etc, over very cheap wine that was all we seemed to be able to find. It was a photography geeks dream.

After the afternoon’s chat, we headed out to the beach for a bit of a play with our cameras.

Here is Olivia Brabbs looking rather lovely:

The wonderful Laura Lawson:

The Godfather (I stole this nickname from the Lawsons!), Stewart Randall:

Susie Lawrence
doing a spot of modeling:

These are from Barnaby’s blog, the first one is of Barnaby himself, one third of the trio that makes up 3b media. The other two are Rob Booker and Phil Barber.

The Lawsons took these, we were pretty hard to spot in a crowd ;-). This is James Pearson, Mark Byrne, Stewart Randall hiding,
Mark Lenik, Hayley Ruth and Barnaby, and I think Phil is hiding in there some where too.

3b media at work:

Pete Lawson:

Me and Chris MacKenzie:

Laura Lawson looking amazingly gorgeous!

I stole Laura’s camera and took these. Look at those amazing Biscuiteers biscuits:

Chris, Laura, Pete and Stewart:

Barnaby modeling the teeny jammy dodgers we got with our morning lattes:

Mark Lenik filmed some of the activities. If you need a wedding videographer, call Mark NOW! He is amazing!

Neil Matthews, also came along, spot him in the video!

YORK MAZE WEDDING | SARAH AND CHRIS: MARRIED

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Sarah and Chris had a gorgeous, intimate and rustic wedding ceremony and reception at the York Maze. I hadn’t photographed a wedding there before, but I was glad they asked me to! It’s full of rustic charm, they married in a barn with their own handmade bunting hanging from the ceiling (even Chris was chained to the sewing machine for a while!). PapaKata have a permanent Tipi set up which is perfect for a wedding, I just love photographing weddings in PapaKata tipi’s!

Sarah and Chris had made the entrance to York Maze really pretty and personal:

Luckily the animals stayed out of the way for the wedding, but I couldn’t resist taking their photograph!

Inside the PapaKata Tipi:

A sweetie station, I love them!

Sarah and Chris made their own photobooth with props, what a great idea:

To see more, there is a wedding photography slideshow of their York Maze and PapaKata wedding, and an online photography gallery. Their password is their married surname, all in lowercase letters.

Sarah and Chris, it was lovely getting to know you both and you chose a perfect venue for your wedding. Hope you had an amazing honeymoon! x

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER YORKSHIRE | REBECCA AND BEN: ENGAGED

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

Looking at these photos of Rebecca and Ben makes me smile, because they both have infectious grins and are really down to earth, and are just great company. We met up a Brimham Rocks to take their engagement photographs, which is full of nooks and crannys called out to be photographed.

SCARBOROUGH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY | NAOMI AND ROBIN: MARRIED

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Naomi and Robin planned their wedding from afar, not scrimping on the details at all, and everything came together to create the perfect day. Their reception was held in a marquee at Naomi’s parents stunning house near Scarborough, and both of them looked drop dead gorgeous!

These beautiful horses were from Black Horses, captured here by my wonderful assistant Kylie!

Is that a receiving line with good light?! No, it’s can’t be. But it is!

To see more there is a Yorkshire wedding photography slideshow of their photographs, and all of their photographs are in an online photography gallery. The password is their new surname, all in lowercase letters.

Naomi and Robin, I hope you had an amazing minimoon and got back to Australia safely. It was lovely to meet you and your families!

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY LEEDS | GEORGINA AND JONATHAN: ENGAGED

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

Georgina and Jonathan’s wedding is at the fab Wood Hall Hotel in a few weeks, and we met up at Temple Newsham for their engagement shoot. Despite not being too keen on having their photographs taken, they look very comfortable in front of the camera and are both very photogenic!

GOLDSBOROUGH HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | LINDSEY AND ANDREW: MARRIED

Friday, September 18th, 2009

Lindsey and Andrew are instantly likable, and after taking their engagement photographs, I couldn’t wait to photograph their wedding. They got married at the fabulous Goldsborough Hall, and they quite literally didn’t stop smiling all day!

Flowers by Angie Walker, who always does an amazing job:

Lindsey’s wedding dress was from Tickled Pink:

Susie second shot for me and caught these two lovely shots, thanks very much Susie:

To see more of their wedding photographs, there is a slideshow here! It may take a while to load, so make youself a cup of tea, get a couple of biscuits, and enjoy ;-)

If you were a guest at the wedding, you may well spot yourself in their Online Wedding Photography Gallery. The password is their new surname, all in lowercase letters.

Lindsey and Andy, it was a pleasure to photograph you, and you will be pleased to know you eyebrows are showing up just fine ;-). I hope you’re having an amazing honeymoon!

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY YORKSHIRE | SARAH AND ANDREW: MARRIED

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

I had the honour of being a guest and a photographer at Sarah and Andy’s wedding, so some of the later shots may be a little wonky ;-)

Sarah and Andy had a really informal, intimate wedding ceremony at Wolfen Mill, followed by a BBQ in a gorgeous, country fete style marquee. There was bunting, cupcakes, a sweetie station, and champagne with hibiscus flowers. It was perfect!

Sarah got Andy these cufflinks as a wedding gift….guess what time they got married?!

The gorgeous flowers are by Twisted Willow. I love the blue hydrangeas and the butterflies.

Amazing scrumptious cupcake station! They taste as good as they look. Check out Sweet Sugar Sixpence to get some of your own!

Look at this little cutie having a rest during the speeches:

To see more of the wedding, there is a slideshow and an online wedding photography gallery. Their password is their married surname, all lowercase letters.

Love you both Sarah and Andy! x
