Andrew and Lindsey make each other giggle and laugh. They are so easy to get along with, and are not afraid to be silly, which is the best combination!

We went to the Crab and Lobster for their engagement photos. The gardens are quiet and filled with nooks and crannies that are every photographers dream.

Lindsey and Andy are getting married in a few weeks time, they are both very creative and are making a lot of the details for the wedding themselves; I’ve seen some of the paper they are using and I can tell you it’s going to be good!

Susie: These are really lovely. I particularly like the one through the leaves. She's going to be a gorgeous bride - lucky you getting to photograph these two and lucky them having you as their photographer.

Chris MAcKenzie: Simple and beautiful. I love the two black and whites it's as if you aren't even there.

Stewart Randall: As Susie says... she's going to be a gorgeous bride. Looking forward to the wedding photos.

Sarah Wright: Gorgeous Rebecca! I also love the one through the leaves.

Hayley Oats: Gorgeous couple and stunning photos, can't wait to see their wedding pictures. Love the one through the leaves and the sense of fun and love coming from each photo

Not that she needs it, but Dean looks after Liz. It is so obvious how much he cares about her from the way he looks at her, and from the way she looks back, anyone can see she feels exactly the same way.

One of Liz and Dean’s first dates was in Staithes, a gorgeous fishing village near Whitby, so they choose to go back there for their engagement photos. It was an excellent choice, what could be better than sun, sea and sand?!

Peter Lawson: Lovely work as usual. Really like the last one and the shot with the boats in the background - what a great setting for a photoshoot!

Sarah: I love these pics Becky! Especially the cuddling one on the steps and the last one - perfect romantic lighting. You're definately going to have to do some just like this for me and Andrew! Can't wait for you to photograph our wedding in less than 2 weeks!

Matthew spotted a gorgeous brunette in a Leeds nightclub, and his chat up line was smooooooooth. Anne spotted a handsome bloke, whose chat up line broke the ice.

After a couple of dates Matt left Leeds on a big ship bound East, but could not forget Anne. Valentines day arrived and with it a huge bunch of flowers and a card from Matt. Anne waited, Matt came home, and they picked up right where they left off. Matt is still in the Merchant Navy (sorry girls, I did try, but he refuses to wear his uniform for the wedding ;-) ) and so Anne gets the best of both worlds: independance when she needs it, and a gorgeous fiance to wine and dine her when he’s home.

We found a great allotment for these photos, full of wonderful colours and textures:

Matt liked the kissing photos, but I nearly got run over getting this shot!

Hayley: I love the shot where you nearly got run over, the price we pay for nailing that perfect shot!

mark byrne: Great images .... but what was the smoooth pickup line ?? !!

Peter Lawson: Fab shots, and like Hayley said - the shot where you risked your life is definitely worth it! I want to know the smooth pick up line too!

admin: OK so the smooth pick up line was, wait for it......."are you two twins?" Directed at Anne and her sister, who are not twins!

Tom was persuaded by a friend to post a profile on hot or not, Anna thought it might be a laugh. As it turned out, they were both hot and it was a laugh. Anna and Tom met up and got on famously, and the rest, as they say is history. Three years later they are weeks away from their wedding day at the Hospitium in York, and Tom still makes Anna (and everyone else!) giggle.

Elin and Rob are into their outdoor activities. Rob rock climbs, cycles, runs; you name it, if you need to be really fit to do it, Rob can do it. I was a bit scared that I wouldn’t keep up with them, but they were kind to me (If I lose Rob on the wedding day, I will check that he hasn’t scaled the walls!). Both Elin and Rob and very warm and open, and very natural with each other. They seem to be a perfect fit.

I’m really looking forward to taking their wedding photographs in August at the Devonshire Arms, Bolton Abbey, I know it’s going to be relaxed and great fun.

The Devonshire Arms grow a lot of their own vegetables in their garden (how cool is that?!), these could the the very leeks and lettuces that Elin and Rob eat for their Wedding Breakfast:

This is natural light I swear. Look how moody the Yorkshire dales can be!

Donna and Michael both have an infectious and wicked sense of humour. They first met at college over 11 years ago and it is very obvious that they are best friends and know each other inside out. We spent most of their engagement session giggling, they are so much fun to be with and are not afraid to be silly, which is the best combination! I’m really looking forward to taking their wedding photographs at the fabulous Newburgh Priory near York.

Stuart James: Love this shoot - especially the last one's and the B&W portrait shot - great fun and totally captured the couple!!

James Pearson: Really nice, relaxed shoot. They look totally comfortable in front of the camera and look great! I love the series at the end. Great work!

Susie: Gorgeous shots. Looks like it was be a fab wedding!

Jennifer: Great photographs, and what a gorgeous couple - a wedding photographers dream!

Brandy: Cute couple and you can tell how they are in love form the photos.

Chris: What a great set of photgraphs. You managed to capture the chemistry perfectly.

When you ask Rebecca and Michael what they do and how they met, they look at each other sheepishly. They are the people you are not supposed to like; they both work for the Inland Revenue.

Unfortunately there is no way you can help but like them, they are so caring and warm, and so obviously madly in love with each. Their wedding is going to be relaxed, informal and loads of fun, and I for one can’t wait! If their engagement shoot is anything to go by, their wedding is going to be great to photograph.

NEW STATIONERY!

June 4, 2009

I have always loved stationary, and I fell in love with letterpress printing the first time I saw it. It is just so luxurious! I think that if a business card is just so damn cool that you can’t throw it away, then that has to be a good thing. Mine were designed and printed by Sally Ann of Invited Ink and I am so pleased with them. They are almost too nice to give away but I will have to remind myself that that is what they are for!

Sally Ann
also designs and prints wedding invitations so brides and grooms, take note. You could hardly hope for a more stylish introduction to your wedding.

Here they are, with my signature colour on the back:

Letterpress Business Cards

And notecards to match:

Ruth Tate: Love it!! They look amazing!

Stewart Randall: I want some!

Hayley Oats: Wow, I want some too!

David Lowerson: Looking good Rebecca. Are you doing all your stationery like this from now on?

Jennifer: Looks delicious - pity a touch screen doesn't allow you to do just that ;o)

admin: Just business cards and notecards David, I would love to have letterpress letterheads but they don't really work with printers unfortunately!

Debbie and Gavin are both smart, funny, kind and a perfect match for each other. They are clearly very much in love and can’t wait to get married in just over a weeks time! I had great fun with them shooting their engagement session last week at Solberge Hall,Yorkshire, and I’m really looking forward to photographing their wedding, it’s going to be a brilliant day.
