After weeks of rain in epic proportions, Julia and David woke up to cold December sunshine on their wedding day, which is about the best you could expect.
I don’t need to say much more – Julia looked utterly stunning, and well, you can’t beat a handsome man in uniform can you :-)

Gina and Dave had the most gorgeous weather for their wedding this summer at Swinton Park. I was very honoured to be the only guest! They had a lovely intimate ceremony with just the two of them, me, and a couple of the Swinton Park hotel staff. We then had an hour or so to explore the grounds with no guests to rush back to, and glowy, lovely light. Perfect!
Hannah and Mark had a dreamy country marquee wedding, with tons of bunting and plenty of home made elderflower cordial, not to mention afternoon tea and a whole tree inside the marquee. Add stunning weather and lovely, glowy Autumn light, and you have a photographers ideal wedding. I don’t think it gets much better than that!

Suzy and Mark’s wedding is the first one I’ve photographed where the guests were given kazoos to play in the church. How could it not be an amazing wedding after that! Mark had arranged for the gospel choir to play ‘All You Need in Love’ as a surprise for Suzy at the beginning of the service. It got everything off to a great start for a really relaxed and fun day. My job was easy!

Lizi and Rob are two of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet, and their wedding was seriously stunning. They’d thought of all those little extra’s that make a wedding fun to attend and great to photograph. Feast your eyes!

What are you doing on Sunday? Cancel it. You need to come to The Wedding Affair wedding fair at Goldsborough Hall.
I don’t do many wedding fairs, but how could I miss one at one of my favourite venues (psst, I had my wedding reception there in 2007!). Goldsborough Hall is a magnificant privately owned (by Mark and Clare, a wonderful, friendly couple passionate about the Hall) stately home, set in wonderful grounds. It’s big enough to accommodate all your guests, but not so big that they’ll get lost. So if you’re getting married and need some inspiration, call in between 12 noon and 4pm. In case you need any more prompting, I have some camera cookies to give out. You’ll have to come along if you want to get your hands on one.
Here are a few photos I’ve taken at Goldsborough Hall over the years – there are many more and I’m working my way through them so that I can have a snazzy (is that word too 80s?) slideshow on Sunday on my shiny new iPad.

Camilla and Charlie had the most amazing wedding in North Yorkshire, with a simple white colour scheme and love that was visible everywhere. They looked so happy all day long – and it shows.

Tori and James got married in a lovely North Yorkshire country church last summer, and somehow I never blogged their lovely cow themed wedding. Yes that’s right, cow theme ;-) James is a cattle farmer, so Tori’s inspiration stemmed from that. There were little cow references everywhere, from Tori’s slippers whilst she was getting ready (see if you can spot them), to the little cow charm favours, and of course the cake.
The reception was at the ever gorgeous private stately home Goldsborough Hall, a personal favourite as I had my reception there nearly 5 years ago, although it feels more like just a year or two.
The flowers were by Lucy MacNicoll – very pretty and summery with the most lovely peonies. I think they have to be my favourite flower. Ever.
Claire and Ryan got married at the Low Wood Hotel in Windermere last May, on a blustery but sunny day (see evidence below!). The wedding had a distinctly Audrey Hepburn feel, from the bridesmaids dresses and accessories, to the fantastic favours – a postbox red Chanel lipstick for each female guest. One of my favourite favours yet!
Claire and Ryan are expecting their first baby next month, and I’m hoping to get to meet him/her sometime soon!
